AP Biology - 4th Quarter Project
Each student group will choose a habitat from arboreal, aquatic or terrestrial. They will assemble a Chimera combining 3 different animal species whose unique adaptations increase survival and dominance. The following points should be included: origin and meaning of the term Chimera, diet, mechanisms for movement, reproductive strategies, circulatory, respiratory, and excretory adaptive physiology. The ecological impact, protective coloration, predator-prey relationships, and social grouping of this unique creature enriches the description.
I think this project is a creative way to end our Senior year course. The students have studied all of the body systems and many different types of animals. They are always very interested in Zoology and the multitude of animal life styles and survival techniques.

Through this lab assignment you will have the opportunity to present your lab report in a different and fun format. You will become more knowledgeable in the multitude of animal life styles and survival techniques and also enhance your technology skills as you become familiar with one of the newest apps,
